Pay Your Attorney Using Our Pay Later Option

We are glad to offer a Pay Later option for our clients. This article details how this payment method works.

What Is Pay Later?

A Pay Later Option allows our clients to ensure their attorney is paid the full amount of the specified Retainer, without actually having to pay the full Retainer amount at once. Instead, you are approved for a short-term loam by Affirm.

We have previously explained how Retainers work and why law firms use them.

What Steps Do I Take?

After you sign the Retainer Agreement, your attorney at The Lockwood Legal Group will email you a Trust Request.

  • Click on the Payment Link in the email
  • A credit/debit card form will appear.
  • Click on “More Payment Options.”
  • Along with options such as “Apple Pay,” and “e-check,” an option labeled “More Payment Methods” will appear.
  • Click on “More Payment Methods.”
  • Click on “Pay Later.”
  • Go through the steps to see how much you qualify for.

What If I do Not Qualify?

If you do not qualify for the full amount of the Retainer, or do not qualify at all, contact us to see if there is anything we can do.

What Happens If I qualify?

If you qualify for the Retainer Amount, upon completion, said amount will be deposited into your Client Trust Account. We will immediately begin working on your case.
